Getting out and about the region
Unless on an organised tour, it is highly advisable that you have your own
vehicle. Once you arrive, there are no public transport services within any
of the townships. Several organisations provide a multitude of various
tours. Visit the Margaret River or Augusta Visitor Centre for more details.
Climate
The climate in the region is Mediterranean/maritime, with mild winters and
temperate summers. Due to the proximity of the two oceans and the Blackwood
River, temperatures above 32 degrees are rare in summer, and temperatures in
winter vary anywhere between 11 and 18 degrees, making for favourable
weather throughout most of the year.
Facilities
Airstrip, banks, ATM’s, post office, petrol stations, doctors, hospital,
supermarkets and other basic services can be found in most towns throughout
the Margaret River Region.
